eCommerce Design / 2014 - 2018
/ Overview
While working with SOSOfresh I designed eCommerce websites for clients in Romania and the USA. In this time I evolved my User Experience skills and demonstrated Good Design matters with some eCommerce Awards in the Romanian eCommerce Market Industry.
/ My role
Market & User Research, Experience & Strategy Design (UX Planning, Wireframes, Prototyping, Personas, Journey Maps), Validation & Usability Testing, Visual Identity & UI Design
Designed for a broad audience over the years, building eCommerce Websites from scratch to redesigning entire Online Marketplaces, I aimed for seamless shopping experiences.
Worked directly with the Clients. I did: Goal Definition & Planning, Research & Strategy, Users Flows, Use Cases and Scenarios, Sitemaps, Wireframes and Prototypes, Visual Identities & User Interface Designs, and Rebrandings.
From people buying products for their kids or friends’ kids. From IT&C marketplaces for Customers or Companies. For students and people wanting to get courses online. Luxury body products for a business in Los Angeles. For people buying online hosting.
While working with SOSOfresh on eCommerce solutions for clients in Romania we got recognized at the local Competition of eCommerce solutions for the websites we built.
2018
Online Store Awards for Babies, Children, Toys & Childcare
2019
Online Store Awards for IT&C, Electronics, and Appliances
Over the years designing for experience in the eCommerce market I developed some principles for a thriving marketplace:
User & Market Research sets the beginning of the process, alongside understanding the Business Needs. In this step User & Market Research helps me to build personas & customer journey maps so I can focus on the main goals and pain points of the users and the business. Properly framing the problem to be solved is one of the main focuses in this stage of the process.
Information Architecture, Use cases & user flows.
Wireframes & Interactive Prototypes.
Usability testing.
People either know what they are looking for or they are just exploring. Good navigation helps both users categories.
/ TODDLERS’ STORE SHORT CASE STUDY
Market Research revealed that 50% of people buy for their kids and 50% of people buy for their friends’ kids. After design iterations, the solution was to split the experience from the homepage to offer customized paths.
